ISO 26000 – Social responsibility

ISO 26000 provides guidance on how businesses and organisations can act in an ethical and transparent way. Businesses and organisations have an increased responsibility not just to their owners, but also to the other stakeholders. ISO 26000 is used more and more as a measure of overall performance and it entails higher commitment and responsibility.

The UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is a strategic initiative which aims to increase company responsibility in the areas of  human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. By voluntarily adhering to the Global Compact, companies commit to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the before-mentioned areas. Companies’ involvement with the Global Compact can also be seen as a catalyst for larger UN goals, including the Millennium Development Goals.

At Sociability we endeavour to assist you in benefiting from pursuing ISO 26000 or subscribing to the UN Global Compact.
